The Coop, a Photo Blog, part 1

Here is the dog run, cleaned and raw for the molding!
Peppa says "any time now guys!"
Bear spread the sand out, making a nice floor for the kids.
Violet and Small Fry aren't too sure yet. Call the skeptical.
Bear and Peppa take a break to discuss design options.
And have some of dad's Special no bake cheese cake.

Refreshed and full of desert it's back out to work.
First John Dear tries to salvage the wood from the old dog house...
But we quickly conclude most the wood is too rotten and we will need more supplies.
Peppa and Bear are still a bit unsure of our plans.
But John Dear proceeds despite their doubts.
. Peppa and the cool kids inspect John Dear's handy work with a  critical eye.
Bear gives her input and structural advice.
John Dear finishes framing the poop deck.
Bear takes some measurements for dad.
And they get the floor marked for it's final cut.
Builder Bear and John Dear finish laying the flooring.
Time to frame the walls!
And maybe use this opportunity to do a little dance...
Builder Bear takes her job of making sure daddy always has his supplies ready and waiting when he needs one, very seriously! She hands him every single wood screw as he needs them.
But she finds no harm taking pride in a  job well done.
The coops roost house, waiting for it's roof and front.
Uh oh John Dear, better hurry, the kids are getting wrestles and impatient!
Today we are a week into this project. The roof is on and we are ready to add the roosts to the roost house, and the front of course...

Today we evaluated what other hardware supplies we needed to hang doors, roosts and every thing else.
Farmer Bear and the kids were lots of help in this of course.
John Dear taking a  break from all his hard work.
And that's how it stands for now. Our nearly finished, open air coop with an enclosed roost house and a lovely sand floor.
To be continued.....
